| 内容記述 | この論文の目的は、明治期と大正期において日本で出版された獨逸語教科書のなかに、どのようなグリム童話が紹介されているのかを明らかにし、その理由について考察することである。英語教科書によるグリム童話の導入についての研究は進んでいるが、獨逸語教科書による導入についての研究はほとんどなされていない。調査の結果、エンゲリン讀本、ボック讀本などを中心に、27 冊の獨逸語教科書に25種類のグリム童話が収録されていることが判明した。もっとも多く収録されているのは、KHM78「老いた祖父と孫」とKHM146「蕪」であり、いずれも現在では知名度の高い話ではない。「忠孝の徳」などの教訓を説く話を中心に選ばれたからであろう。一方、児童雑誌で紹介された「狼と七匹の子山羊」、「蛙の王様」、「白雪姫」などの話は、その後広く一般に普及していく。「文学性」を中心に選ばれたからであろう。獨逸語教科書に採用されたグリム童話は「教訓性」に焦点を当て、児童雑誌に掲載されたグリム童話は「文学性」に焦点を当てて選択されたのであろう。時代の要求に沿った道徳心ではなく、想像力を磨く話が後世に生き残るということであろう。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper aims to identify the types of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm that were chosen for German textbooks published in Japan during the Meiji and Taisho eras and to examine the reasons for their selection. While research has been progressing on the types of fairy tales imported into Japan through English textbooks, there has been relatively little research into German textbooks. Twenty-five different Grimm’s fairy tales were found from Twenty-seven German textbooks, mainly in Engelien readers and Bock readers. The most commonly published tales were ‘An Old Grandfather and His Grandson’ and ‘The Turnip’ both of which are not so well-known presently. These tales were probably chosen because of the underlying moral values, which were shared with stories, such as ‘Loyalty to the Emperor and Piety to Parents’. In contrast, stories such as ‘The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats’ , ‘The Frog-King’, and ‘Snow White’, which were often published in children’s magazines, became widely popular because their content involved fantasy and captivated the imagination of young readers. The Meiji and Taisho German textbooks thus favored fairy tales emphasizing moral values, while children’s magazines offered stories with literary value. Thus, in summary, | |||||
