| 内容記述 | イギリスの昔話「3 びきのくま」（“The Three Bears”）の日本での最初の受容は、明治期の英語副読本『Popular Fairy Tales: Adapted for Japanese Students（よく知られた昔話集：日本の学生たちに適する）』（英学新報社 1902）に所収された“The Story of The Three Bears”（「3 びきのくまの話」）であったと推定する。現在判明しているところでは、邦文での初めての受容は児童雑誌『少年』（時事新報社 1905 年2 月）掲載の「銀髪さん」であった。「三匹の熊」のタイトルは、次に出版された『子供の楽園 : 教育童話』（東基吉 同文館 1907）で最初に用いられた。大正期になると幼年向け絵雑誌や児童誌に掲載され、『赤い鳥』にも「大熊中熊こぐま」（佐藤春夫 1918.12）として掲載された。また、幼稚園での語り聞かせ用物語集『幼児に聞かせるお話』（内田老鶴圃 1920）にも収録された。明治・大正期の「3 びきのくま」の受容は、英語学習、雑誌での受容、幼稚園での語り聞かせに大別される。また、「3 びきのくま」の再話の変遷から、幼年文学観の変遷もうかがえる。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | The first version of the British folktale “The Three Bears” in Japan was “The Story of the Three Bears” in the Meiji period English supplementary book, Popular Fairy Tales: Adapted for Japanese Students (Eigaku Shimposha, 1903). The first Japanese version was “Ginge-san,” published in the children’s magazine “Shonen” (Jiji Shimposha, February 1905). The title “The Three Bears” was first used in Kodomo no Rakuen: Kyoiku Dowa (Children’s Paradise: Educational Fairy Tales) written by Higashi Motokichi (Dobunkan, 1907). In the Taisho period, it was published in several picture magazines and children’s magazines, as well as in “Akai-tori” as “Oguma Chuguma Koguma” (by Sato Haruo, December 1918). The story was also included in a collection of stories for storytelling in kindergartens, Yoji ni Kikaseru Ohanashi (Stories to Tell Infants) (Uchida Rokakuho, 1920). The acceptance of the tale of the “three bears” in the Meiji and Taisho periods can be classified into three categories: for learning English, publication in magazines, and storytelling in kindergartens. In addition, the retellings of “The Three Bears” reveal changes in the perception of young children’s literature. | |||||||
